The Naval Forces Commander in a work and inspection visit to the Western Maritime Façade units/2ndMR
Mr. the Major-General Mahfoud BENMEDDAH, Naval Forces Commander paid a work and inspection visit to the Western Maritime Façade units/2ndMR, from January 30th to February 03rd, 2025, where he stood on the level of units’ combat readiness and the personnel and material state of readiness. This visit falls within the framework of inspection visits included in the combat preparation program 2024-2025.
IIn the beginning, Mr. the Major-General, Naval Forces Commander, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. the Major-General Commander of the second Military Region then he moved with the Commander Western Maritime Façade to the Principal Naval Base Mers El Kébir/2ndMR, and after the reception ceremony, Mr. the Major-General Naval Forces Commander laid a wreath of flowers in front of his memorial stele Chahid “BOUSSIF Belhadji” Who’s the naval base headquarters bears his name, and he was received by Mr. the Brigadier General Commander of the Principal Naval Base Mers El Kébir/2ndMR. Mr. the Major General Naval Forces Commander then moved to different training structures as well as Coast Guard Territorial Groups deployed throughout the territory of the Western Maritime Façade/2ndMR, to stand on state of readiness of different structures and facilities, he also inspected the advancement of various infrastructural projects.
Mr. the Major-General Naval Forces Commander held an assessment meeting with Commanders of the Western Maritime Façade units where gave a series of instructions and directives related to the necessity of keeping readiness in its highest levels.
