A legal oath ceremony was held, on June 03rd 2023, with a presence of senior officials from the National Gendarmerie Command and Justice, at the Court of Algiers, carried out by the National Gendarmerie officers and other officers from the various branches of the People’s National army who completed their one-year training at the National Gendarmerie Judicial Police school of Essers , after having received a basic and professional training in various training structures of the People’s National army, during the academic year 2022/2023.


     These officers and trainee officers who took the legal oath in a public session, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force, will be able to assume their future duties upon graduation, since they have fulfilled the necessary legal procedures and have obtained the status of Judicial Police Officer.


    It should be noted that the legal oath represents an official recognition and acknowledgment of these officers to be qualified to perform their duties and their prerogatives as Judicial Police Officer. It also represents a formal contract through which " the law inforcment soldier " commits to serve the fatherland, the juctice and the citizens, in the strict adherence to the laws and the regulations of the Republic. Therefore, the legal oath is a contract of loyalty, honor and the foundation upon which ethics are built.
