In accordance with the directives of the General, chief of staff of the People’s National Army, regarding the preparation of the People’s National Army forces, today, Major-General, Commander of the National Gendarmerie presided over the opening ceremony of the combat preparation year 2024-2025 for the units and formations of the National Gendarmerie. This event took place in the National Gendarmerie Higher School in Zéralda, the martyr “Ali Mouaz”. As the other forces of the People’s National Army, the official opening ceremony for the combat preparation year the National Gendarmerie Units was held.

     The Commander of the National Gendarmerie began the ceremony by inspecting the various formations and units of the National Gendarmerie. Additionally, workshops were held featuring presentations of the different directorates, Central Services and Structures. The Major- General Commander of the National Gendarmerie also attended the demonstrations performed by most of the units and formations including demonstrations of cynotechnic duos as well as Kuk-sool wung demonstrations, motorcycles and mechanical sports along with members of the Special Detachment for Intervention and air squadron.

     After the demonstration, the commander of the National Gendarmerie delivered a speech on this occasion, attended by executives of the National Gendarmerie Higher school as well as officers and cadets.
