On May 7^th, 2025, a delegation from the National Defense Committee of the People's National Assembly held a visit to the National Gendarmerie Command, where they were welcomed by the Brigadier General, Inspector General of the National Gendarmerie, along with senior officers of the command.
    The program began with the screening of an introductory film highlighting the missions of the National Gendarmerie, especially the duties and organization of the Directorate of Public Security and Deployment. This was followed by a field visit to various departments, including the Directorate of Public Security and Deployment, the Judicial Police Division, the Cybercrime fight Service, and the Road Information and Coordination Center, where the delegation received detailed briefings on the responsibilities assigned to these units.
    In the afternoon, the delegation headed to the National Institute for Forensic Evidence and Criminology of the National Gendarmerie in Bouchaoui, where they toured the institute's various departments and closely observed the assigned tasks and achievements carried out by the institution's officers and experts. The delegation then continued to the Research and Development Center of the National Gendarmerie Command, where they were briefed on the center's scientific missions as well as research programs and projects that enhance the operational readiness of the National Gendarmerie units.
    At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation was received by the Commander of the National Gendarmerie by interim. On this occasion, gifts were exchanged, and the delegation signed the Golden Book of the National Gendarmerie Command.
    This visit includes within the framework of strengthening coordination and communication between the legislative institution and the state’s security bodies, and field observation of the efforts made by the National Gendarmerie in various security fields and in ensuring the safety of citizens and their property. The committee members expressed their satisfaction about the high level of professionalism and organization witnessed throughout the visit, reflecting the National Gendarmerie’s readiness to fulfill its noble missions in the service of the nation and its citizens.
