Organization of a National Seminar on the fight against acts affecting cultural properties at National Institute of Forensic Evidence and Criminology of the National Gendarmerie in Bouchaoui.
The Director General of the National Institute of Forensic Evidence and Criminology of the National Gendarmerie in Bouchaoui chaired, on May 10th 2022, the opening ceremony of the national seminar entitled " the fight against acts affecting cultural properties", in the presence of officers and executives representing the Ministry of National Defense, Representatives of the Ministries of the Interior and Local Authorities, Justice, Culture and Arts, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Moujahidin and rights holders, tourism and handicrafts, as well as representatives of the General Directorate of National Security, the General Directorate of Customs, and university professors specialized in the cultural inheritance.
The activities of this national seminar aim at reinforcing the co-operation means between the various national structures in this field, in order to fight against the various types of acts affecting the cultural inheritance, caused by the profanation, plundering and the illicit trade. In particular, by presenting the efforts made by the actors in the field, moreover, to expose the threats upon our cultural inheritance by the criminal networks, by coordinating the fight methods between the sectors concerned and to lead to effective recommendations which ensure an optimal protection of our cultural inheritance.
