A joint press conference was held on October 13
th, 2025, at the Headquarters of the National Gendarmerie Command, in the presence of senior officials from the National Gendarmerie, the National Security, Civil Protection, and the General Directorate of Forests. This conference was devoted to presenting the outcome on the 2025 summer season, as part of efforts to enhance coordination among the various security and public bodies, and to promote the principle of transparency in communicating the field efforts carried out during a season marked by intense activity and increased movement across roads, tourist areas, and forest zones.

Representatives of the National Gendarmerie Command presented in detail the activities of its units conducted during the summer season, which focused on securing tourist areas, roads, and beaches, and ensuring the citizens’ safety and comfort. Special emphasis was also placed on combating the illegal exploitation of beaches, parking areas, and camping sites, as well as on the fight against drugs, psychotropic substances, and neighborhood gangs, including the seizure of illegal equipment and materials. Efforts also covered the prevention and control of forest fires, given their strategic economic and environmental importance, and addressed activities related to national food security. Field operations were strengthened through the deployment of modern technical means and the organization of joint patrols to ensure greater efficiency in protection and monitoring.

The conference also presented a comprehensive analysis of road accidents recorded during the season, examining the causes and responsibilities, and highlighting the rate of serious accidents in coastal wilayas, in addition to monitoring seawater quality at authorized beaches to safeguard the health of vacationers. It also addressed the awareness and communication activities led by the National Gendarmerie aimed at warning citizens about risky behaviors on roads and beaches. The meeting concluded by reaffirming that the efforts of the National Gendarmerie continue throughout the year, and that citizens’ awareness and cooperation remain key pillars in maintaining security, protecting national resources, and combating all forms of crime.
