On Wednesday June 18
th, 2025, the Brigadier General, Director General of the National Institute for Forensic Evidence and Criminology of the National Gendarmerie, presided over the graduation ceremony of the 65
th batch of Judicial Police Agents at the Non-Commissioned Officers School of the National Gendarmerie in Setif. The graduating batch was named after the heroic martyr Harafa Ali.
After inspecting the regular squares in the parade ground, the School Commander gave a speech by the way, in which he touched upon the major axes of training which consisted of two key phases: basic military training and specialized legal training. He commended the high level of academic and practical competence demonstrated by the graduates, particularly in the fields of investigation, forensic science, and technical policing, reflecting the school’s efforts to promote professionalism and the integration of theoretical and practical instruction.
The graduating batch received high-quality training over a period of two years, culminating in the legal oath-taking on June 14
th, 2025. This officially grants them the status of Judicial Police Agents, legally qualifying them to serve in operational judicial units. The ceremony also featured the awarding of ranks and certificates to top-performing graduates, along with demonstrations in self-defense techniques, forensic police operations, and field control maneuvers, all showcasing discipline and excellence in training. On the sidelines of the graduation ceremony, the Brigadier General affirmed that naming the class after one of the nation's valiant martyrs is a tribute to the sacrifices of the November generation, embodying the values of loyalty and recognition. Finally, he concluded by signing the school’s Golden Register.
