Signing of a Cooperation Agreement to Launch the Electronic Payment Service of fixed Traffic Fines on the Roads

 
     As part of efforts to strengthen the digital transformation process and improve citizen-focused services, a ceremony was held on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, for the signing of a cooperation agreement concerning the electronic payment of fixed fines for traffic law violations. The event was attended by Brigadier General DJAAFER Mohamed, Director of Telematics of the National Gendarmerie, alongside the Minister of Finance, the Director General of National Security, the Director General of the Treasury and Accounting, and several senior officials and stakeholders. The official launch of a new system was announced, enabling road users to pay fines on-site through modern electronic devices.
 

  
    This innovative project reflects the public authorities' commitment to implementing the directives of Mr the President of the Republic to generalize digital solutions across all sectors. It aims to promote transparency and efficiency by placing the citizen at the core of the digital process and simplifying their daily life through smart and real-time services. Among the objectives of this initiative: strengthening intersectoral coordination, field employment of modern technologies, and providing a quality service that allows for fast and secure payment of fines without the need for move about or delay.
 

  
    In his address, the Brigadier General, Director of Telematics emphasized that the National Gendarmerie spared no effort in ensuring the success of this project, in cooperation with the General Directorate of the Treasury and Public given that the Gendarmerie Units throughout the national territory have been equipped with the necessary devices to ensure a smooth rollout. He added that the project will greatly facilitate payment, especially during night hours and weekends. He reaffirmed the Gendarmerie’s full support for digital transformation efforts and its complete readiness to enhance cooperation with all stakeholders to ensure the success of this strategic direction and build a modern, efficient administration that meets citizens' expectations.
