On November 29^th, 2023, at the level of the Higher School of the National Gendarmerie in Zeralda, the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Combating of Corruption, and the National Gendarmerie Command organized a study day entitled "Administrative and Financial Investigation into Illicit Enrichment", within the framework of activating the agreement concluded between the two institutions. The study day was attended by actors and partners from the ministerial sectors and national supervisory and advisory bodies involved within the national strategy for preventing corruption.


     This study day aims to review the role and efforts of the National Gendarmerie in the field of combating corruption, especially illicit enrichment, as well as presenting the tasks and prerogatives of the higher authority for transparency, prevention and combating corruption, in addition to determine the most appropriate and adequate direction to establish a reference frame for combating corruption, especially illicit enrichment, and this from the perspective of the standards contained in international and regional agreements and applicable national laws and regulations.


    It also aims to come up with recommendations and proposals that would establish practical procedures stemming from field practice in the field of administrative and financial investigation in the illicit enrichment phenomena, the study day was hosted by the Higher School of the National Gendarmerie in Zeralda, where the program included four (04) interventions and three (03) workshops, with the aim of coming up with recommendations and proposals to strengthen the mechanism to fight against corruption in all its form.
