    The phenomenon of insecurity remains linked to the continued increase in violence in general, which consists particularly in various forms of deviance (theft, robbery, vandalism and destruction of property), riots and banditry, particularly in large areas.
 
    This situation requires special security measures that takes into account widespread forms of violence and their consequences on the system and the security of people and property.
 
Creation
 
    The security and intervention sections are means developed by the Command of the National Gendarmerie to consolidate the system of fight against insecurity and violence deployed at the territorial grouping level.
 





Employment
 
  • Ensure the maintenance of public peace and order and enforce laws and regulations.
  • Inspect crimes that threaten public order and security and bring those involved before the judicial authorities.
  • Undertake legal proceedings necessary to collect evidence related to crimes within its jurisdiction.
  • Ensure a presence on the ground in areas where crime is widespread.
  • Help people in danger.
  • Collect information related to public order and security and inform superiors.
  • Activate and coordinate the search for information and intelligence and ensure their exploitation.
  • Participate in public order maintenance operations, in accordance with current regulations and in execution of the command’s instructions.
